Dr. Lindsey is a native of New York City, NY, who now resides in Knoxville, Tennessee. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Oakwood University, an HBCU located in Huntsville, Alabama. He earned a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Health Administration from East Tennessee State University, located in Johnson City, TN. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health from Walden University, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr. Lindsey is also a manger and Assistant Vice President at Home Federal Bank of Tennessee, who presently serves in a management position and hold the designation of a corporate officer. He also served as an Assistant Resident Director and Resident Director for the office of Student and Residence Life at East Tennessee State University. He has over 10 years of lecture experience in Public Health and Biology, the latter years being served at Knoxville College where he was an Adjunct Professor of Biology. In this role he taught General Biology, Microbiology, Anatomy and Physiology, Medical Terminology, Bioethics, Introduction to Public Health, and General Physiology. He has also served on the Knoxville College’s Committees for Curriculum and Academic Policy, Athletics, and Faculty Affairs. He is also certified to teach health and biology at Walters State Community College located in Morristown, Tennessee.
Dr. Lindsey is a fervent support and advocate for the community. He was appointed to represent his district as a part of the Knox County Charter Review Committee. He has delivered several presentations on the topics of finances, education, health, and personal engagement. He has served as a Lieutenant Governor for the Optimist Club; President of the local National Pan-Hellenic Council (Charter Member), Advisory member for the Johnson City Boys Group Home, finance committee member for the Presbytery of East Tennessee, Alpha Mu Lambda Foundation Chairperson, and a mentor for the Tennessee Achieves program. He is the author of three books and has given conference presentations on his research.
Dr. Lindsey is the owner of the Lindsey Group, a small consulting business that specializes in health, financial, and educational programming. In this role, he has served as a dissertation coach for Ph.D. students, written financial plans, and have assisted high school students prepare for college-entry exams.
Dr. Lindsey is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa, National Leadership Honor Society; Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Music Fraternity of America; Epsilon Nu Eta, National Environmental Health Honor Society; and is a Life Member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
In his spare time, Dr. Lindsey enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, playing bass guitar, singing, reading, golf, bike riding, and martial arts.
