KC Alumni Spotlight: Lisa M. Gillard-Whitaker

Lisa M. Gillard-Whitaker is the Director of Human Resources for Quest Community Development Organization, Inc.  She is a dynamic and results-driven human resource professional with over 25 years’ expertise in performance management, leadership development, and employee relations. She is instrumental in streamlining training and recruitment strategies, enhancing work performance, and driving organizational development. She is highly accomplished in implementing policies and programs that positively impact employee morale and overall productivity. Adept in optimizing relationships with management, employees, and business partners.

 

Ms. Whitaker possesses a broad knowledge of human resources in a variety of sectors encompassing airline, juvenile justice, electric utility, higher education, logistics and transportation, not-for-profit, telecommunication, and retail. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with an emphasis on Criminal Justice from Knoxville College in Knoxville, Tennessee, and a Masters of Public Administration (Nonprofit) from Georgia Southern University. She is a Registered State of Georgia Mediator (GODR), Certified Affirmative Action Professional, and holds a Certificate of Nonprofit Human Resource Management. 

 

Ms. Whitaker is a current member of SHRM Atlanta and recently served as the President for the Georgia Chapter of College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (GA CUPA-HR).  Also, she is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc
