Updated: 20 hours ago

Knoxville College proudly celebrated its Class of 2025 during a historic Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the beautifully restored McMillan-Reese Chapel. This event marked the college's 150th anniversary, adding a profound sense of legacy and renewal to the occasion.

Family members, faculty, staff, alumni, and community supporters gathered to honor the achievements and resilience of the graduates. The ceremony featured a keynote address by Reverend Harold Middlebrook, a distinguished civil rights leader and community advocate, who delivered an inspiring message encouraging graduates to lead with purpose, serve with integrity, and recognize their inherent worth.

A highlight of the event was the recognition of the Golden Grads—alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago—whose enduring support and legacy continue to shape the college's future. President Dr. Rotesha Harris emphasized the significance of this milestone, stating that the commencement not only celebrates the graduates' achievements but also signals a continued commitment to academic excellence, community service, and institutional renewal.

The ceremony also included a special performance by Knoxville College alumnus and Knoxville Opera performer Michael Rogers, adding a memorable artistic touch to the celebration.

Congratulations to the resilient and inspiring Class of 2025!
